A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of talking with sisters Pam and Anna Kruusi of Live Free Canada and the Living Free + Well Podcast. These sisters are both living in Canada and either have celiac disease or food intolerances. I was super excited to talk to them, especially since both my sister and I have celiac disease and our grandmother is from Canada. Nothing like keeping it in the family!
I know it’s been a while since I have posted but life has been a complete whirlwind since about mid June when my husband and I decided to move back to New York City from Santa Cruz, California. Once we said yes, the locomotive of life was full steam ahead.
If you have been reading this blog for a few years now, you might remember in 2016 when I drove cross-country for my move from New York City to California with my then boyfriend (now husband). I documented my travels on social media using #crosscountryceliac. It was quite an experience through the Southern United States, beating any major snowfalls the whole way across the country. I fell in love with New Mexico, explored the Hoover Dam, and clocked more than 3,000 miles from start to finish. I also got to appreciate the sheer size of this country over my nine-day road trip with my husband.
Well… I am doing it again! But in reverse. AND… I am moving back to New York City.
I am beyond excited to be heading back to Brooklyn for the very first NYC Gluten-Free Food Allergy Fest on July 28-29, 2018. It will be so great to see old New York City Celiac Meetup friends and met new gluten-free people at this event. The GFFAFest will be at the Brooklyn Expo Center which is right in the heart of Greenpoint, Brooklyn. As a matter of fact, I used to live on the same exact street! Come for the expo, stay for the awesome views of NYC just down the block at Transmitter Park, and maybe even happy hour after the event. I’m always up for drinks in Brooklyn.

One week from today I am going LIVE! I often get emails and direct messages that ask me how I travel the world with celiac disease, what to pack, and what to eat in specific cities. I thought a Facebook live event would be a great way to share some of your most commonly asked questions and let you interact with one another in the comments section.
I have some exciting new things to share during the Facebook live event and everyone who attends will be entered to win a giveaway of exciting gluten-free prizes. You won’t want to miss it.
