Today marks the official 14th anniversary of the launch of Gluten-Free Globetrotter. Fourteen years ago today, after a solo trip to the Czech Republic, I introduced this blog to the world. I had just experienced my first gluten-free beer on tap in Prague and I wanted to shout it from the rooftops. Read my 2014 welcome post here.

My 20-Year Journey with the NYC Celiac Disease Meetup

Twenty years ago, I began leading the New York City Celiac Disease Meetup group, driven by a desire to connect and empower the gluten-free community. It’s been an incredible journey filled with shared experiences, support, and celiac advocacy. Today, with a mix of emotions, I announce the time has come for me to step down from this group as a founder, long-time leader, and event co-organizer.

This solo trip fueled my desire to share my gluten-free travel experiences with the world. After launching my first blog in 2007, I already had four years of experience in the gluten-free blogging world with Gluten-Free Fun. Starting my new gluten-free travel-focused blog felt like the perfect next step.

This time of year my inbox gets very busy with questions about where to eat during the holidays. With Thanksgiving less than two weeks away, I thought it would be time to update my Guide to Gluten-Free Thanksgiving in New York City.

A number of my readers have been asking for gluten-free Thanksgiving dinner recommendations. Whether you are a local New Yorker or you just don’t want to cook, here are some options for your gluten-free meal in New York City this Thanksgiving day. Be sure to make your reservation TODAY if you are planning on dining out for Thanksgiving. Seats fill up very quickly.

Note: Please remember to contact each restaurant directly if you have questions about the menu items, preparation, etc. It is up to YOU to do your due diligence when planning any meal outside of your home.
