Gluten-Free Globetrotter: 2023 Summer Travel Update
Views from Brooklyn Bridge Park

Hello!

I know this blog has been neglected in recent months so I apologize for the radio silence. Life has been busy here in New York City. I am working like crazy (nope, this blog isn’t my day job!) while navigating summer camp for my son, lots of family visits, and just day-to-day life.

I kicked off my summer at an all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. This was the 25th country I traveled to with celiac disease and I had an awesome experience. Plus, back in the spring I went to Charleston, South Carolina (my 38th state!) for my birthday where I ate like a gluten-free queen.

I am still actively posting on Instagram and Facebook. I also continue to moderate the Celiac Travel group on Facebook which has grown to a whopping 32,000 people! That group is definitely a labor of love, but I am so thankful for the moderators who help me with the group.

So, as I try (once again) to resurrect this website, I want to know what YOU want to hear about first? I would love if you could leave me a comment below and tell me what content you are looking for the most:

  1. Gluten-Free New York City content
  2. How to Navigate an All-Inclusive Vacation: My Trip to Punta Cana
  3. A Gluten-Free Weekend in Charleston
  4. Something else
  5. All of the above!

Thank you and happy summer.

  1. I’m still game to host a small group to the Cévennes National Park in the South of France. Think hiking (with our donkeys), e-cycling along protected cycling paths in the mountains, GF baking / pastry classes and, of course, delicious GF meals. Your beds are ready, whenever the idea appeals… 😊. Jan Steele (aka La Goose)

  2. Hi Erin, gluten free content in New York would be great! Do you know anything more about the place that is supposed to open on 106th and Broadway, by the owners of Modern Bread & Bagel? Anxiously awaiting, as that is so close to us!
