Today marks the official 14th anniversary of the launch of Gluten-Free Globetrotter. Fourteen years ago today, after a solo trip to the Czech Republic, I introduced this blog to the world. I had just experienced my first gluten-free beer on tap in Prague and I wanted to shout it from the rooftops. Read my 2014 welcome post here.

My Gluten-Free Globetrotter Mission
Today, I sit here in complete awe of what has become of my life, my celiac journey, and Gluten-Free Globetrotter over the past fourteen years. I started this blog as a way to share my personal experience of living with celiac disease and my love of travel. I wanted other people with celiac disease to see what it is like to travel the world while living gluten-free. I wanted to encourage and empower others to not let celiac disease stop them from seeing the world.
Reflection on Gluten-Free Globetrotter
Over the past 14 years, I have experienced so much both from a personal perspective and from a celiac perspective. It is almost too much to wrap my head around. From moving cross country twice, to getting married and becoming a mother, to moving to Canada, I really could never have predicted this path of mine.
The one constant over the past 14 years has always been my mission to share my authentic self and personal experiences of living with celiac disease my entire life. I’ve shared my highs and lows of living with an autoimmune disease and multiple food allergies. I have documented my international travels to amazing places like Singapore, Mexico, France, Germany, Thailand, and beyond. I have been humbled by the opportunities I have been giving to share my personal story with national celiac organizations across the globe. I have also met hundreds of fellow Gluten-Free Globetrotters, traveling the world and living their best life with celiac disease. I am humbled by the opportunities I have been given along the way.
What is Next for Gluten-Free Globetrotter?
This month, I am excited to share my personal Gluten-Free Globetrotter event during three live virtual events. More details to come but here is a sneak peek with registration links!
May 6: Instagram Live with Aglutenados
May 12: Live webinar with The Mount Sinai Hospital Celiac Disease Program
May 13: Live webinar with The Celiac Disease Center with UChicago
I will continue to share my gluten-free experiences from around the globe. I still have SO much to share since I have moved to Quebec last summer. Navigating a new country and new language has been a challenge at times, but Montreal has offers so many delicious gluten-free treats. I have barely scratched the surface, although my gluten-free croissant research is going strong!
I will also ALWAYS keep my Dedicated Gluten-Free in New York City guide updated. As a native New Yorker, a girl’s gotta eat when she goes home.
Thank you to those of you who have been a part of the Gluten-Free Globetrotter journey from the very beginning. I have made lifelong friends in the celiac community and for that I am forever grateful!
Congratulations! Thank you for all the support you have been to me and so many others over those years!
Beth
