Free Webinars: Expert Tips for Traveling with Celiac Disease and Gluten-Free Travel Planning

I am going live this month in two different countries! I hope you can join me at one of these upcoming events next week. Both webinars are free to join but registration is required.

Traveling with
Celiac Disease

Seattle Children’s Celiac Program
Sunday, January 26
5pm ET/ 2pm PT

We welcome you to join our webinar featuring a panel of renowned travel experts, parents, and a GI physician with celiac disease.

Panelists:

  • Erin Smith is founder of Gluten-Free Globetrotter (and while diagnosed with celiac has traveled to 25 countries and 28 US states),
  • Kyle Dine is the CEO and founder of EqualEats (plus a great online friend of mine!)
  • Anne Moon is a parent of a child with celiac disease and the founder of Beautifully Gluten Free
  • Dr. Annemarie Rompca is a pediatric GI physician diagnosed with celiac 13 years ago.

Moderator by Dr. Dale Lee, Medical Director, Clinical Nutrition; Director of the Celiac Disease Program at Seattle Children’s.

This webinar is open to all. Registration required! To register: https://tinyurl.com/celiac-travel

This webinar will be a dialogue between these 4 experts discussing the joys, potential challenges, and how to prepare for your travels with celiac disease.

Zoom Chat Hour:
Celiac Travel

Celiac Canada Quebec Support Group
Wednesday, January 29
8pm ET/ 5pm PT

Now that I am living in Montreal, I am very excited to get involved with the local celiac community. I recently connected with the Quebec Support Group of Celiac Canada, a group that meets regularly both on virtual zoom hours as well as in-person events. It’s an honor to be a guest speaker at this month’s event. Bring your top celiac travel questions to this talk and hopefully I can give you some of my favorite gluten-free travel tips

To register, please email quebecsupportgroup@celiac.ca.

This year, I have decided to focus on connecting with the celiac community more directly and going back to my support group groups. Through webinars, in-person meetups, and more “IRL” experiences (IRL=in real life), I hope to bring a broader sense of community to the celiac disease world. With the current state of the world and the downward spiral of social media, I feel like these live interactions are way more valuable.

Do you have an upcoming event that needs a celiac travel expert? I’m your person! Feel free to contact me directly.
