I am taking a Gluten-Free Globetrotter road trip to Philadelphia this weekend. Philly is only 100 miles from New York City, yet this is only my second trip down there in my adult life. I am heading down for the NFCA Appetite for Awareness 2012 on Sunday. I thought it would be fun to bring my mom with me for some sightseeing, gluten-free eating, and company on my trip to Philly this weekend.
As with all of my trips, I have been doing my homework. I have been using websites like Gluten Free Philly to choose my dining options for the weekend. (Michael Savett, the mastermind behind GFPhilly, also happens to be the Honoree at this weekend’s event.) I put together a Google map with our hotel, restaurants, and tourist attractions for the weekend. Considering I will be in Philly for less than 36 hours with 4 of those hours at A4A, I think I will need to make another road trip soon.
Are you going to be in Philadelphia this weekend? If so, I would love to meet you at Appetite for Awareness!
