Every year I make a New Year’s resolution to travel to at least three new places. This year, I did just that and then some.
Many of my loyal readers know the point of this blog is to encourage others to take the plunge and do some gluten-free traveling. As a life-long Celiac, I don’t know anything but how to travel gluten-free. Planning on where to eat is just as important to me as planning on where to stay. I like to do a lot of research ahead of time to make sure I know where I can get “safe” food when away from home. Yes, there are some nights I have stayed in my hotel and had cheese and crackers, but more often than not I wind up eating some amazing safe meals on my travels.
Here were my Gluten-Free Globetrotter travels in 2012:
- Aruba
- Three trips to Portland, Oregon
- Mt. Hood and Hood River, Oregon
- Port Stanley and London, Ontario, Canada
- Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
- Denver, Colorado
Did you travel anywhere new in 2012 that was great for a gluten-free traveler? I want to hear your stories!
