Celiac Around the World

In my travels, I have realized that some of the best resources when planning a gluten-free trip are from local Celiac Disease organizations and support groups. Usually these organizations will list local restaurants and sometimes provide you with locally translated dining cards to assist you in their country. I recommend writing to the groups prior to your international travel to ask for help and suggestions. You might be surprised by their willingness to help.

◊ When searching for these organizations, use alternate spellings of Celiac, such as Coeliac. Also, try finding the local translation for gluten-free and then plug that and the city name into Google for your search.

◊ There may be more than one organization in the country you are traveling to, as well as local/city groups. I suggest reaching out to all groups in order to get the best summary of your gluten-free travel destination.
