A number of my readers have been asking for gluten-free Thanksgiving dinner recommendations. Whether you are a local New Yorker or you just don’t want to cook, here are some options for your gluten-free meal in New York City this Thanksgiving day. Be sure to make your reservation TODAY if you are planning on dining out for Thanksgiving. Seats fill up very quickly.
Note: Please remember to contact each restaurant directly if you have questions about the menu items, preparation, etc. It is up to YOU to do your due diligence when planning any meal outside of your home.
New Gluten-Free Options for 2023

Thyme and Tonic

Menu includes organic turkey, candied sweet potato with brown sugar and marshmallow, challah mushroom stuffing, green beans with crispy shallots, braised Swiss chard, mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy, corn bread, cranberry sauce, and dessert pies. Prepaid reservations required for parties of 1 to 14. $99 per person.

In celebration of Thanksgiving, chef Andrew Sutin has created a special holiday prix-fixe dinner: $125/adult prix fixe & $50/children (12 & under). Chef Sutin has celiac disease so he is well-versed on gluten-free food preparation. Friedman’s will host a roasted turkey dinner with gluten-free options available. Menu starts at $49.95 for adults and $25.95 for children. The special Thanksgiving menu items include apple tarts, ginger pumpkin tarts, pecan tarts, latte layer cake, spiced carrot layer cake, classic chocolate layer cake, pumpkin cheesecake (dairy-free!), cranberry apple cake, cornbread, and dinner rolls.
People can pick up their orders any day the week of Thanksgiving (November 20-24, 2023). Please note, on Thanksgiving Day (11/23) they will be closing at 12 pm.

Posh Pop is selling their Thanksgiving collections that include vegan and dairy-free options too. Menu includes apple pie, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, cinnamon rolls, pumpkin pecan rolls, and donuts. Not in New York City? No problem! They also offer next day shipping.
