It’s the last month of 2016, how did that happen? It’s been a crazy month with the elections here in the United States. Without getting too political, I am still hoping I am waking up from a nightmare and the outcome of the elections were all a big joke. Having friends across the globe, it’s been really enlightening to see what others now think of America. All I say is try living here. It’s really quite a mess these days and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t scared of the next four years.
Sigh.
But we must carry on with life and go on. Perhaps I should tell people I meet on my travels that I am from Canada instead of the US. I don’t want people thinking I voted for that maniac. /rant

In other news…
Where I’ve been: This past month I have stayed put in California. I had a lovely weekend in Sausalito and San Francisco (post coming soon) and also did some visiting with sea otters in Moss Landing, CA. I met up with my cousins in Pescadero and even had lunch in Dublin, CA. (Who knew there was one outside of Ireland and Ohio?! Not me!)
Where I’m going: I booked my first 2017 NYC trip of many for next year. With a wedding in NYC, I need to take care of a lot of details which requires me flying back and forth. Thank goodness for airline sales and a flexible schedule. I am also busy toying with ideas of where to go on our honeymoon. I think Greece is up there on my list!
Gluten-Free Globetrotter wedding update
My wedding venue in New York City is booked, I bought a beautiful wedding gown, I know where I am getting my gluten-free wedding cake (By the Way Bakery in NYC), and my menu is setting up to be almost completely gluten-free. Things are coming together but we still have a long way to go. We have wedding guests coming from more than 8 states and 5 countries so there is a lot of logistically planning, tour guiding, and more to do for this wedding international weekend. I can’t wait to share our special day with our friends and family from around the world.
Where are you traveling to this month?
Follow me on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook! Don’t be shy, come say hello.
Ed. Note: It has been brought to my attention (yet again) that there is someone using my website name and misrepresenting themselves on social media as me. Please keep in mind that Gluten-Free Globetrotter is a registered trademark with the USPTO. If someone is emailing you or commenting on your website using my name and/or website, please let me know immediately. It is very upsetting that someone is trying to fraudulently build their brand based on my brand name and website that has been around almost 6 years. Thank you for your help.
Happy wedding planning! If there’s anything I can do to help with logistics, calligraphy, timeline, ideas, brainstorming, consulting, weekend’ing’ or honeymoon planning…..please don’t hesitate to ask. Happy December!
