The most frequently asked question to this blog is “Where can I find a 100% gluten-free restaurant in New York City?” In the past, I had to say there are no completely gluten-free restaurants in Manhattan but but now I am happy to report we now have a few totally gluten-free options. I will update this list as I learn of more 100% gluten-free options in New York City.
Note: While these restaurants are no-gluten establishments, it is still very important to inform your server about your dietary restrictions!

Exciting! I can’t wait to try a couple out the next time I visit. I’m assuming that some of them may cater to more dietary restrictions, too? Like soy, dairy…. etc.?
Hi Heather. Hu Kitchen might be your best bet since they are a mostly paleo restaurant. As with any restaurant, gluten-free or not, it is always best to talk to the manager or chef and alert them of your other allergies and restrictions!
Sounds good. I’ll check them out. And of course… I ALWAYS “grill” the restaurant staff. 🙂

Have you been to Soho Tiffin Junction in the village? Their menu is entirely gluten free (as well as nut, soy, sesame and shellfish free)!

Thanks for your NYC posts and the lists of 100% GF places. My son must eat very strictly GF with no CC, so going to a 100% GF place is like a fairy tale dream – few questions, no stress!

I’m a celiac from Montreal. My hubby and I spent the long weekend in NY city and we tried a few of your recommendations. We went to Senza Gluten and Kesté. Absolutely incredible!! The pizza from Kesté was out if this world, better than the gluten version, according to my hubby. And Senza Gluten, also just as incredible. The staff and owner are soooo nice.

This list was so great for our celiac son! We went to Colors, Little Beet, and Senza Gluten with from 7-12 non-restricted diners on our weekend trip to the city! Everything was AWESOME!!!
