Gluten-Free Airport Meals

Photo from

A few weeks ago, I asked my friends on Twitter where I could get a meal at the Atlanta (ATL) airport. Within minutes, someone suggested PF Chang’s. While I didn’t have enough time to actually eat there, I thought I would collect some suggestions on where to get gluten-free food at the airport. Unfortunately, none of these meals are guaranteed since restaurants may or may not have the gluten-free food at the time but it is nice to know that gluten-free options are starting to be more available.

  1. These are awesome suggestions! There’s also an Udi’s Cafe at DIA that serves gluten free options (and sells Udi’s products). I’ve never eaten there to discuss cross-contamination or anything, but I know a few people who like it 🙂

  2. Great to know!! Also the JFK, NY airport has a food court with packaged snacks that are labeled gluten free

  3. Erin,

Great stuff…your blog and story is awesome! My wife and I have a similar story as far as health goes…we’re completely eliminating gluten from our diet as well great to see you put something like this together…we love to travel so thanks for what you do!

    1. YES! Someone from Facebook just left this comment:

ATL – One Flew South, E concourse offers GF choices, F concourse- Pei Wei, only 1 menu choice is GF but it works, A & C have Chick FIL a grilled nuggets, A & E have Qdoba. D has five guys.

  4. Hi Erin! If you want some more gluten free airport suggestions, check out my wordpress blog:
So far I have reviewed Philadelphia & Washington Dulles (IAD), but am in the process of adding Chicago, JFK, LAX, and Charlotte—to start.
I will definitely check out your recommendations! Planning to go to London in the spring so it will be great to know where I can grab a quick bite!

    1. Thanks Paige! I am happy to learn about your website. When you are in London, you should try Marks & Spencers. They had a “to go” section in the airport with many gluten-free selections.

  5. Thank you for sharing this helpful information. Traveling can be difficult for those who have specific dietary needs, especially when there are not a lot of readily available options. I especially appreciate your mention of the Regan National Airport. As a local business in Virginia that specializes in some very delicious gluten free options, I love to know that upon first landing visitors to this beautiful state have something to choose from. If you are in the Dulles area and are looking for yet another gluten free restaurant, consider stopping by Cafesano where you can taste fresh, healthy, and good tasting gluten-free Mediterranean food. Thanks again for sharing!
